Re:Ghettodyne 2.2.1 w/ boost officially working
What's even weirder than that is I've NEVER seen a PM7 that HAD an external prom! Weird. I've got two PM7's sitting here right now, no external prom(s). They are both USDM.

"xtensive: ...They are both USDM."
I guess that's the difference then - all PM7's I've worked with are JDM. To tell you the truth, I never even thought there were USDM PM7's - but then I really have no idea what the US has/hasn't got.... |
Re:Ghettodyne 2.2.1 w/ boost officially working
Just out of curiosity are the PM7's you deal with 88-89 era or 90-91? All USDM PM7's that I have seen are 88-89 which would fall in with the 88-89 PM6's in that they don't have external PROM...

Re:Ghettodyne 2.2.1 w/ boost officially working
Mike, the PM7 only came in the Euro + Jap ZC. We didn't get it here.
PM6 = 88-89 Si PM8 = 88-91 HF PS9 = (?)88-91 Ex 4dr PR4 = 90-91 B18 Teg PG7 = 88-89 (and 86-87) D16A1 (USDM ZC) teg Where you buy your ECUs jigga? |
Re:Ghettodyne 2.2.1 w/ boost officially working
They are (I think) Integra ECU's. They sure as ---- say PM7 on 'em too...I'll take a pic.

Re:Ghettodyne 2.2.1 w/ boost officially working
All the ones I've seen are 88 or 89. Never laid my hands on a 90/91.

Re:Ghettodyne 2.2.1 w/ boost officially working
so using this on a B16A (even with a ghd compatible ecu) is completely out of the question due to b16a's dohc nature?

Re:Ghettodyne 2.2.1 w/ boost officially working
my pm7 is from a 91crx euro with a d16z5 doch engine (124hp)..

Re:Ghettodyne 2.2.1 w/ boost officially working
ok correct me if I'm wrong but you can use the 90-91 si ECU chipped with GhD on whatever motor (using vtec activation) and that is using an OBD0 distributor (that i'm not sure of)
Can you put one of these ecu's into a newer car, say a 98 civic EX with SOHC Vtec? I have seen the OBD2-OBD1 harness connectors, but what about getting that to hook up to the ghetto-fabulous ECU? If it is not possible, just tell me i'm a goob and not worry about it, thanks. |
