Default EcuControl

Can EcuControl be used with my obd2a p75 teg ecu? I'm just playing around with this, and i'm going to build a ttl to rs232 converter soon just to play around with this software. It says it only does obd1 and obd0... but I can't see how much different obd2 it from obd1. If it doesn't work, I guess I could always convert to obd1, although I don't want to make another conversion harness since it was a bitch to make the obd2b-obd2a harness.

Let me know,

Well, it would "differ" because the interlal memory addresses of the mircocontroller will not be the same.

Say if the RPM ram address is at offset 0x3B, chances are that in the OBDII ECU, it's not, based on teh fact that code is different.

How about if I convert my harness over to obd-1 and run a obd-1 p75 teg ecu. I know that EcuControl works with p28's, will it work with a p75?

You should be able to run p28 code with P75 maps, on a P75 ECU. Therefore using the OBD1 EcuControl.

That's cool. I just have to get my hands on a obd1 p75 and convert my harness over. I'll let you know how it goes. I'm new to tuning maps etc.. is there a good informative page that says what everything does?

I'm 3rd year Comp. Sci., if I get the info I should be able to get it to work.
