dsm 450s and fuel pump questions????
i think i read somewhere that there are 2 diffrent versions of the dsm 450cc injectors. diffrent internal resistances or someting like that. im just wondering which is best to use with an 88 cr-x si with the pm6 ecu. also, what fuel pump is best suited for a hmt setup? i keep seeing the walboro 255? i think...how much does it run, what are its specs, and is it what i should be using with them 450s. i will be using an apexi v-afc, and will prolly be putting on a z6 head, if that helps any. thanks for any help you all can give me.

Re:dsm 450s and fuel pump questions????
There are a couple different color 450cc, the blue tops being most common, and among the blue tops anyway there is allegedly two different impedances. Everyone who's checked their blue tops comes up with 2-2.5 ohms, which is fine. All this started with Hondata claiming that DSM 450cc do not work properly with Honda ECUs, but they can't provide anything to back that up with aside from they "can't get them to work properly" on some setups, and they claim the DSM 450cc lose power when they do work.
There have been a couple remarks about Hondata being a distributor of RC injectors, but as of yet I think the verdict is out. I've got the datasheets for the Honda injector drivers, and just need to lay hands on a DSM ECU to get their driver part number so i can look up their datasheet and compare.
I run a stock HF pump on a boosted LS. I've run up to 9 psi, everything runs plenty rich. Other people will tell you the same. Some people have pumps fail, but face it - those pumps are already years old, and even if they can flow a LOT of fuel at stock pressures (where they can't in high pressure FMU setups) they are doing more work than stock and it does add up to some wear.
A Walbro 255 runs ~$100, you can find online deals or pick them up at Autozone if you know the correct PN. It is a 255 lph, liter per hour, pump.
