After reading this thread, I'm sure it was actually a PG7, not a PR....That was many moons ago, I remember catching hell tryin' to find the ECU cause all the ones I HAD dealt with were in the passenger side floor board, where as the Integra ecu was under the passenger SEAT....I cursed and threw ----....

I’m confused I looked into a zc a bit more. It only has a top dead center and cylinder position sensors on the exhaust cam. I saw no crank position sensor. I did see what looked like another cylinder position inside the distributor. Will this make a different the pm6 is chipped but I know a pm6 uses all 3 sensors. Will a normal D distributor fit on to the motor? I’m just worried about the vacuum advance thing I want to be in control of ignition timing especially in boost. I just want to ditch all the vac crap.

By the way its not a true zc its out of the first gen acura intera. Is the true zc different?

The exhaust cam sensor is a cylinder position sensor. There is no second sensor in the enclosure.

The distributor has the CKP and the TDC sensors.

if your motor is vac advanced, then you cant tune the ecu, or use the pm6/pr4...

If its electronic advanced, then you are good to go with the turboEdit goodness!

Can I just swap the dizzies? Or do I have to find a head with cool ignition? So confused now.

you cant just swap the dizzys, since the wiring harnesses are different. You will have to make a conversion harness, making the appropriate changes, or use the complete wiring harness from an 88-89 integra (or some other obd0 car with electronic advance...i onyl deal with g1tegs tho O0).

With my 87teg, a buddy and I tried a few times to make the few wiring changes to use the elec adv dizzy, but we couldnt get it to work right. So, when I wrecked my 89teg, i ripped out the complete harness from it, and put in in my 87teg. That was the brute force, not-so-efficient way to handle things, but it worked.

Later on, someone from g1teg did the conversion like a normal person would. Hers the link:

oh yeah, about the head. you will need the cam caps from an electronic advace motor (namely a d16a1 from an 88-89 teg or a similiar ZC). Without this, you will not have a place to bolt the dizzy on the head. The bolt holes are different between the vac adn elec adv motors...so with the proper cam cap, you can at least use one dizzy bolt. I guess you can make a lil plate or something to get the other 2 bolts in place, but I've been fine just using the top.

I'm not sure if this applies, but I can easily change to obd1 since I have the complete elec advance harness. All I need to do is make a few changes to the clips for the obd1 dizzy, re-pin those cips, and use an obd1 ecu. However, I'm not to sure what chagnes need to be made if you convert to elec advance with only doing the wire changes...it could be the same process...

You can also use a SOHC D15B6 cam cap and run a SOHC dist.

Nice ZC. Thanks every one for clearing that up. Why dose ZC save a zc ZC ZC ZC ZC o-k saves as zc wtf.
