dohc zc and a pm6
Will a pm6 run a dohc zc? How do I deal with the vacuum advance distributor and boost?

Re: dohc zc and a pm6
Don't know if it helps any, but I ran a pr7(I believe that's the right code) ecu from a d16a1(usdm zc) on my d16a6 back in the day...I had read somewhere that I would see some slight gains from doing so...My buddy had recently totaled out his 89 model Teg RS, so I grabbed it from him....

i run a pg7 but i do not have vaccuum advance

Re: dohc zc and a pm6
If it is the blacktop zc then use the 88 89 integra pg7 ecu. If its browntop then use the 86 87 integra pg7 ecu. Pm6 shouldn't work unless its chipped because of the zcs exhaust cam sensor.

Re: dohc zc and a pm6
Since the exhaust cam sensor is in alignment, PM6 works fine albeit runs lean.
FYI, Cspec, PR7 is the NSX part number. Must have been one hell of a ZC. :P |
Re: dohc zc and a pm6
Its chipped. I am just not familiar with the engine or distributor. So I can still control ignition tables threw turboedit like any other d?

i'm running a dohc zc with a walbro & stock fuel pressure regulator b/c i'm a cheap ass. would i be better off running the pm6 since it leans it out? or should i stick with my pg7 |
Re: dohc zc and a pm6
Run whatever you can tune; this is a turbo site, and all turbo cars need custom tuning.

Re: dohc zc and a pm6
Get chipped pm6/pr4
pg7's running zc's was because you had to spend 1000 on zdyne to tune anything back in the dinosaur days. Turboedit is free The era of what stock ecu is best is over |
