It came with my lc-1 and i cannot get it to datalog for the life of me. i can datalog through the ecu fine with uberdata or freelog but when i open log works 2 it just says something to the effect of "no real time data found on this port".

i once was able to log the wideband signal straight from the lc-1 through the serial adapter. but that doesn't work now either.

i am using free log right now which so far has been pretty good to me. but there are some feature of log works 2 that looked fantastic and i would love to try.

any help is appreciated,

You have to make sure it connects properly first...to know this you will see the Air/Fuel gauge come on screen. Then you can log from there.

Using LogWorks on an LC-1 doesnt give you much useful data though unles you couple it with some of their other products to log more channels.

Use Uber/Crome for Datalogging...

 

are you guys logging through the lc-1 or through the ecu? if it logs through the ecu i don't see why logworks can't log all the other featurs the crome/uber/freelog do.

i tried logging JUST the wideband through the serial connection and had only 1 successful attempt. it never worked again. i wanted to log right from the lc-1 just to verify i was getting accurate readings in freelog.

because the LC-1 isnt hooked up to EVERY sensor in the car like the ECU is...

 

Generaly log through the ECU. Logworks and the LC-1 are not setup to interface withe the ecu and log the data that it sees. You have to have some other input device, LMA3, in the serial communications chain to read the engine sensor data, and convert that data into a format that Logworks can use though the serial interface. The only data that you can verify with only an LC-1 is A/F with Logworks. The only incorrect logging that you should have to worry about is a voltage differential caused by the grounds.

 

when i view just the lc-1 straight through the serial connection on the controller, i am not able to edit the configuration in the software.

i ran lmprogrammer to program the wideband analog output to be:
.1v = 7.35 afr
3.25v = 22 afr


however, when i use logworks to look at the wideband, it shows:

Pretty sure that you don't have to configure the LC-1 input for Logworks because the controller is sending the data via the serial connection rather than measuring a voltage and then calculating the values.
