My buddy gave me his front O2 sensor off of his 2001 Impreza 2.5 RS. He kept telling me it was a wideband, and he wasn't using it, so I could have it if I wanted but I still didn't think he knew what he was talking about--I hadn't heard of Subarus using wideband o2 sensors. But today he gave it to me and here it is:

I have heard this might be the Bosch sensor. Does anyone have any idea if it is? Can it be used with diy-wb, or techedge, or any of the above??

"Guys, I am temporarily taking over distribution of diy-wb pcbs. I just took delivery of a new batch, and I'm ready to take payments and start shipping.

pcbs are $5 each. Add $1 for shipping.

Paypal to jhartwig@midsouth.rr.com or checks to

I also have the parts kits. Add $16 for each kit.

Sensors from http://www.shonutperformance.com or http://www.oxygensensor.net

The combination of pcb, parts, and sensor will give you 1 diy-wb. You'll also need wiring, soldering tools, a project box, etc. (Radio Shack items).

If you have already procured a pcb, please ignore this email.

Best regards,
Jürgen"

Hey i'm not really understanding what hes trying to say on prices.. How much for the complete kit with the pcb board? (Basically everything i would need besides the wideband o2 sensor itself to get started(

It only took about a week after he shipped the kit for it to get to my door. He sent it out a couple days after receiving payment.

Just follow the link on the techedge website; it's like $35-$40 from some online VW parts store.

I was answering his question on where to find the Bosch sensor. Now, if he were asking if the bosch sensor would work with this kit, I would answer differently... ;D
