Default Did I ruin my ECU?

I desoldered an old chip out of my ECU, and pulled out a couple wires by accident. Is the ECU still useable?

When I popped the chip out, pieces of the copper wires in the motherboard came out still attached to the pins of the chip. It still starts and runs my car, but I don't know if it's still good enough to be chipped and work.

Take a single peice of copper wire, and remake the trace.

Tack it to the originating point, then lay it flat then follow the trace, bending it at the same points as the original trace, then run it through the hole and solder it as normal. Cut off the excess.

Very simple.

Indeed, just takes some time. I've had to rebuild "Fire Victim" ecu's before and follew traces back that you could barely see. But, your ecu is definately usable if you fix it this way.
