Default datalogging from the ecu

to do this i still need a wideband 02 and controller right? this feature is just so that you can buy a wideband w/o datalogging capability and w/o a display, and still datalog right?

if you are talking about datalogging with uberdata or some ecu, all you need is the cable and a laptop. It is nice to have a wideband, so you can datalog air fuel as well, and in that case, you would not need the display b/c you would datalog it right on to the laptop.... but I always prefer the display over always looking in uberdata.

i am talking about using the nokia cable to datalog directly from the ecu with turbo edit, but if you need a wide band to log air fuel ratios, what else would you log besides that? and what good would it do you with out air/fuel ratios?

you can log rpm, speed, map signal, tps, coolant temp, intake air temp, but yeah, there's not much you can do with the data without wideband air/fuel read outs also.

better to datalog at the ecu anyway, that way you can adjust your tune more accurately--because the data in the datalog corresponds to individual cells on your map.
