Alright, I'm in the middle of chipping my obd1 po6 and i was wondering if i had to program anything onto the 74HC373N (the little chip) before I soldered it in, nowhere can i find if i need to or not. It seems as if i just solder the little bastard in there but i dont want to have to take it out.

 

No, you don't, just solder it in.

Make sure you install it the correct way

 

Yeah, just match up the side with the little notch with the notch on the board.
