chipping my ecu, quick question

Default chipping my ecu, quick question

first ecu ive ever chipped, i bought a xenocron chip, do i need to use the 28 pin black socket with the 28 pin blue locking socket that holds the eprom? or can i just solder to blue socket right to my ecu? any issues with doing this?

Solder the black socket down then press the blue socket into that.

haha its cool, i was scared chipping it because it was a mint *** mad tyte p28. all is done and i cant wait until i see if it works. i would have sent it to xenocron but i wanted to try my soldering skills so i can do this more often.
