Default cel stuck on take 2 limp mode now

I just chipped the ecu in my 92 lx so I can get a feel for tuning before I turbo the car. Now the cel is on constantly but if I try to check the codes it doesn't blink. The ecu works fine with the chip dataloging ftl and every thing else works just the cel light is stuck on. I am using p06 on crome free using a p30 base, imported the p06 tables, added dataloging and ftl and removed the checksum. Is there something I forgot to do that would make the car run fine but the cel light be on?

Solid cell is cause by electronic problem. It did this when I chipped my first ECU. Now it's in the garbage. Clean it first and see what's going on after.

I don't think there is any thing major wrong with it because it works just fine just the stupid cel is on. I will try cleaning the board when i have a chance for now ill just rock a cell. It was on for 2 months after i converted to 5 speed anyhow cause i was too lazy to convert the ecu to manual :P

mine had a cell forever.. after put the crome on a different laptop... now i reburn the chip using 1.4.8 and this time no cell IDK??!! what the issue is but its gone also aobut 4 ecus ive chipped did this solid cell like you said but runs fine.. a few of them went away.. its caused from bad soldering job when i noticed when i did it wiht my friedn it would do that.. wen i did it myself it didnt.. you have to be carefull when sucking out the solder wiht the suction cup so when it splatters everywhere you need a <<WICK>> its a braided copper wire wick can be bought at any electroinic store its for collecting the flux.. just do a good job cleaning and always use sockets on the latch not to burn it when soldering .. and dont pull the chip out when the motor or ignition key is on!! that will ---- IT UP TOO youll have to puut a new latch in (74H373)chip

Ok so this damn ecu is still giving me headaches. I burnt a chip using a different computer and diff ver of crome and it worked fine this time around. My tuning skills suck still and there isnt really a need to run around with a stock motor on a chipped ecu any how so I un-jumpered j1 to go back to stock and everything was fine. Until last week when i went on a short trip and the damn cel came on and the car was in limp mode I limped home and went to check the code and it just stayed solid I switched out to my spare ecu a auto p06 and everything was fine again except the obvious code 20. I have since converted that ecu to manual so the cel went out. The other day I finally got around to finding out what happened to my chipped ecu and when i plunged it in and started the car it worked fine again. I jumped j1 and the chip worked (3500 ftl) Now last night I went to leve a buddies house and the damn thing went to limp mode again I just pulled my spare ecu from under the seat and drove home so i didn't have to deal with limp mode. So now wtf is wrong with this damn thing? It works fine for a while then ***** up. Where on the board should i look to see what is causing this? To me the chipping job looks fine but what do I know. I tried to take pics of the ecu but my camera sucks so they are just blurry as hell. I will borrow a hi-res scanner so i have pics soon. At this point I just may order another chipping kit and chip the p28 i have.

ya i stil have several ecus that became gay like taht in my closet.. i guess they are just mentally somthing fried and it triggers the limp mode.. or somthing take a hammer to the board or keep it for parts
