I have a hondalog, downloaded freelog and extracted files, downloaded the drivers from ftdichipset and all thats good cause my ostrich works. I have changed the baudrate and all that crap and found what comm the hondalog is on but it won't datalog anything. I do the sanity check and get this ->

Sanity Check failed! Cui's Datalogger code NOT detected! Please check Comm settings and Baudrate!
Port Successfully Closed!

Its comm5 and baudrate is 38400

I look at the hondalog plugged into the ecu and i am reading from the harness side to where the chip is installed and i have red, space, white, black. It was sold to me that way and the connector is a one way connector so i didn't put it in backwards. I look at the pics at xenocron of the hondanlog and i read the install at pgmfi and according to all that the wires are inccorect. they should be black, red, empty white. Is this the problem, do i need to switch the terminals in the connector or are some of these different?

okay i was wrong about one thing, its not a one way connector, i gotta get my eyes checked i thought i saw a groove in it to click into, thats just the terminal releases. But still the wires are different from all the ones i see on xenocron and moates. So the wires are still as follows

red - empty - white - black
OR
black - white - empty - red

whatever way you read it.
i either have it in wrong or the wires are wrong.

I enabled the quickdatalogger + RTP when i programmed the ostrich

 

xenoncron sent me a bin that i think should data log if i am understanding all that i read

 

nevermind, moates hondalog, hulog, and the usb datalogger i got from xenocron which i think is a hondalog i bought are all different with the red, white, black. I missed the sections on xenocron's website on the usb datalogger. I really got to get my eyes checked. Now i got to figure out why all the numbers are jacked up. I know it has something to do with something.

thats the problem im having right now myself, the numbers are all screwed up im reading like 7 grand at idleand like -21 degrees on iat and ect when the car is warm. ive tried changing the baud rate and the numbers change but they dont go like they should. if you figure out whats going on or of anyone else knows post it up and ill do the same if i find out.

you gotta go to pgmfi and go to freelog (if that is what you are running) and change the info on the datalogger protocol. It took alot of searching and reading

 

this stuff has really kicked my ***, its my first time, but i know i aint the first. Now the only thing that isnt reading right is my TPS. I gotta do more searching
