~~~Datalogging Cable~~~PROJECT TEG......XENOCRON HELP!!!
I got thinking today, and I figured teg or anyone else who runs datalogging might be able to help. Would I be able to use a cable with a USB on one end and a small square end on the other that is usually used for compy to printers and just cut off one end and hard wire it to my ecu for datalogging with uberdata? There are only 4 wires, a Black,Red,Green and White. I'm just not sure which wire would be GRND,RX,TX or if they would even be in the right order going into the lappy through the usb? Any help would be appreciated. I know I can use the Nokia cell Ph cable but I dont' want to have to wait to run datalogging if this will work. I saw the diagram for the cell cable on PGMFI and thought that this may work. Thanks
Hard to say without seeing the cable...you would need to find a cable to make sure it has a TTL-->RS232 convertor built in to the cable and you would need to know the pinout for the TX, RX +, & -
