I'm just woundering if when using SS braided lines do you have to use -AN male and female fittings or can you just use hose clamps. Or do they sell a type of hose that like SS but you don't need fittings. I don't want to use ruber and would like to use SS but I just don't want to mess with figureing out the different thread types , -AN size , and male and female fittings.

Its actually very simple, people make it out to being very difficult with all these different part numbers and fittings.

I assume you are trying to do a oil feed line?
Starts like this

1/8th BSP to 1/8th NPT Adapter
Straight 1/8th Extension Brass
1/8th 3way T Brass (female)

So now we have 2 ports off the T, 1 for feed amd 1 for oil pressure sensor

Now we start with (feed)
1/8th - 4an (adapter) This goes on the T
-4an Straight (this gets put on the -4an hose) (then you can attach the line to the brass T)

Now we can look at the turbo side,
again we need another
-4an Straight
Then whatever size inlet thread is on your turbocharger. Most T3's are 1/8th, then then you would need a 1/8th to -4an adapter, just like off the back of the block.

But to answer your question, you can just clamp down the stainless steal line if you want.

k, something i dont get: why do you need a BSP to NPT fitting? cant you just put a NPT fitting into the block and call it good?

no honda was smoking crack and put in a BSPT thread in..

You dont NEED a NPT fitting, its just easier to use, the NPT threads in their a bit tough, and can possible cause a leak, since not to many threads get in. BSPT is the thread off the back of the honda block.

o.k. the turbo I'm using is off a WRX ( which is the same as a DSM right ) So yes I'm doing this for the oil feed , oil return , and coolant lines. Now what about the oil return and coolant lines. I take it I can just you the same type T fitting for the coolant lines and just use clamp on both ends of the coolant T that the lines connect to What I may just do is to gte everything on just use clamps and then later re-do everything with fittings. I did see a guid from summit that is suppose to tell you everything and makes things easier but it's 50 bucks ( not really worth it ). Also what size line's will I need. Will it be the same size for oil and coolant. Thanks for the help Abaz I appreciate it.

Oh whats the fitting type or name for the fitting that you can thread into the turbo but instead of having threads on the other side it has fitting that you just slide a hose over it. I can't think of the name. The other end look just like the breather end on your valve cover that you connect the breather hose to. Do you know what I'm taking about ? D*mn I wish I could put a pic.s up to make this easier. Well someone did put a post up here about where to get the brass fittings for the turbo to connect regular lines to.
They look like that.
