difference between sprung and unsprung clutches?

but after a little bit of driving on this clutch, you'll get to know how to engage and disengage without chatter.
ive been running a unsprund 4 puck in my street car for awhile now its not bad at all.

Yeah my 3 puck unsprung violent clutch isnt soo bad, with the aluminum flywheel it might chirp the tires pulling away from a light, its kinda street unfriendly but manageable, just learn how to drive it and youll be fine, sprung or unsprung.

the springs act as shocks. when the clutch grabs it will use the spring to dampen the engagement. other then that it works exactly the same. you'll get more clutch feel out of an unsprung disk, but you'll be more comfortable with a sprung one.

i think you mean the springs act like springs. Despite the name shock absorber they dont absorb anything

no, I mean they act like shocks, they are there to dampen the force and regulate the speed at which the disk travels, not to counteract the force (like a spring would)

i have the 6 puck clutch specialties from kime and it works great..traffic doesnt even bother me with this clutch...
