Re: WTT AWD eclipse for honda with engine swap iam in PA
I gotta admit, I didn't like DSMs too much till my friend who's a DSM freak bought a 2 AWD w/ a t3/t4 55trim, and runs 20psi, untuned, with a bad exhaust leak before the turbo. It still managed to throw me back in my seat and sqeal one or two of the tires with the e-brake on, at about 60% throttle. rofl.
2g6 is right though, maintenece before mods.

Hey I'm not knocking DSM's since I have one myself. I'm just not tossing a bunch of gofast parts on it cause then it'd be sitting in a nonrunning state right next to my Datsun. Maybe like OEM type upgrades like EVO3 stuff but beyond that..say goodbye to a daily driver that needs to be reliable.

I stay right around 20psi for daily driving and my car has held up fine along with all the other components. My favorite set-up off all time on my car was my EVO3 16g set-up at 21psi. It just seemed perfect for the car; not too hard on it at all. To get 60k miles out of a modded DSM you have to be somewhat reasonable with what you throw at it boost wise and how daring you are with AFR's. I'm hoping this 18g set-up will get rid of the lag-lag-BAM effect and make more linear boost like the 16g did. I'm also hoping the `8g won't oppo out at higher rpm's at only 20psi like the 16g did. Keeping it closer to stock in the 300-350whp stage is perfect for a daily driven DSM imo.
