Re: WTB: laptop for turboedit kindof cheap
i found one i think..will this work for what i want it for?
100$ with shipping
It is a Compaq Presario 1244
360mhz AMD K6-2 (max 500mhz K6-3+)
160meg of ram
I believe a 4.3 gig hdd (i need to look, again!)
Passive TFT Screen
Great battery life, can war drive for 45min to an hour with the LCD off 80% of the time and only get down to maybe 85% battery life remaining with a 250mw Senao Card. It has 1 USB port, and 1 COM port. It’s built like a BRICK, weighs a metric ton or two, and could likely be used as a blunt object to kill someone, and then write up something in word afterwards. Rugged, cheap, good battery, and simple, I’d think it would lend its self well to the tasks you have in mind.
Does have SLIGHT blemishes, and 3 (if I remember) dremel marks on the bottom, to make the screws for the palm rest more accessible.
