Hey there all, Need to get my e30 some brains. I have been boosted on 18 psi por a while now with just injectors and a adjustable fuel pressure regulator. just finished beefing up the internals so gonna bump the boost up to 25. but I do NOT feel safe doing this without proper fuel control so anyone has a extra ecu laying around i would be happy to pay up to 150 for something and i have cash already in paypal just ready to send.

looking for megasquirt,vems,hks, aem whatever you got for the price! I have a race march 7, 09 so it would be great if i could find before then.

Up to $150 for AEM and other standalone's? Yeah good luck with that. A proper MAP sensor alone for AEM is gonna be about that. Maybe you can get some -----d up Megasquirt, but definitely not even close to your application and set-up. So unless you're really good with computers and building circuit boards and wiring; you'll have to chip your ECU. You'll pay ~$75 for the socketing and preparation for the chip and then whatever the chip itself costs with the specs you want. I'm sure it's not cheap for a BMW. They'll probably talk you into having your ECU freshened up too. Either way $150 isn't going to get you anything near adequate for 25psi lol. Maybe on a Honda, but not a Beemer even if it's old.

motronic ecu's can not be chipped for the kinda control i need. they use maf and can not read boost.

bimmer forums is ok if your just starting out in the tuning of e30's but if your really interested in learning try www.e30tech.com everything you ever wanted to know about boosting a 30.

there is a nice ix in san diego right now for sal for 4500 it looks like it just came off the showroom floor. would be insane boost+ix all wheel=

DO NOT, i am warning you, unless you beef up the front transfer case, it will break if you boost it. I wanted to do the same thing, but realised thru reading that it dont work
