So looking at it without the radiator in the way, i 'might' be able to pull it off, with a creative downpipe... and notching the crossmember a bit...
You are probably right about the log manifold, but this one is already built, so if I 'can' use it, I would prefer to do so...
Suggestions?

WOW why didn't i think of that... if they actually made a bend that looks exactly like that i would probably be ok, but as far as i know the radius is always a lot larger without serious pie cutting...

looking at the available bends from this site it will be a tight fit...
obviously WHAT i need to do is easy to figure out. is it feasable, is it practical, is it going to be an impossible angle? that's why I'm asking for some input, I don't have any experience building this stuff...

Yup. Pie cuts for the win..... Went that rout the first time we did the DP for my H22 setup. That or what I was thiunking maybe ro could scoot the motormount to the pass side on the x member and just either weld a lengthened braccket to get to the block.... orrrrr. build something like this:
if you look just to the left of the manifold youll see a bracket we nmade that uses a threaded aluminum bar with heims in either end. IT ALLOWS LOTS more room, and would be a really simple fix just a bracket like on mine, then two pieces of 3/16-1/4 inch plate welded to the x member (id think about putting a piece of the plate on the XMEMber as well for strength. Drill holes through the two pieces you weld to the xmember for the bottom bolt and heim, and you have a sweet adjustable front mount, that will also help to make your motor torque around less and help any wheelhop issues a bit.
