what type of fitting is needed to go from the 1/2" ID steel braided tube for the drain that comes in stealthmode's kit, to the t25 drain flange. stealthmode told me it was 3/8" but what type of 3/8"?

3/8" NPT is the outlet on the drain flange. You'll need to get a 3/8" NPT to barbed fitting if you want to just clamp it, or get a 3/8" NPT to AN Hose fitting if you want to kick it up a notch.
