You're an -------. I've been working with you via PM and said I'd take care of you however you want. Yet you still felt the need to go public so I look like a bad seller. The turbo was mint. How the ---- was I supposed to know it was going to push oil on you? It still boosts, so it's not like I sold you a paperweight. Not to mention I sold it to you for dirty cheap. $335 for a $600-$700 turbo. From the get go you've been a **** about it and I haven't done anything except be nice to you and work with you. What if it's operator error? Honda's have high oil pressure to start with, you're not using a restrictor, and who knows how good your feed/return set-up is.

IDK why you felt the need to be a dick. It really makes me want to tell you to go ---- yourself and DIAF, but since I'm a man of integrity I'll still offer you a full refund. I will require you to show pictures of it installed and what feed/return set-up you're working with. Didn't you say that the last 3 turbos you tried all smoked on you? That seems a little odd to me. If I refund you and the turbo ends up being fine I'm going to be pissed. Anyway, let's go back to PM like we were instead of airing this for all to see. I can do without the opinion of every jackass who sees this thread. Thank-you.

either hes lieing, not using a restrictor, or the turbo was just bunk. im guessing on the first 2, but anythings possible, ive seen brand new BB garretts turn out fucked out of the box.

including one gt4202 today. she was sent back after the first dyno pull.

Yeah exactly. Also, I've had turbos that people claimed smoked on their cars (mostly Honda guys actually) and when hooked up to a proper oiling system they were just fine. Too much oil pressure can push through the seals easily; even on brand new turbos. Bottom line is that this turbo was as nice as they come. No end play with just a touch of lateral play (like all used turbos that have sat; not to mention new turbos) and spun like butter. That other guy with the PTE turbo just had his brand new turbo smoke too, so IDK.

I think there's a ---- ton of room for operator error in this case (didn't prime correctly, no restrictor, questionable return, etc), but I offered the benefit of the doubt and said I'd refund him. IB it's fine, but if that'll make him happy I'll do it. From the get go he's been a pain in the *** anyway. First off, I sold it dirt cheap, then I shipped it fast and expensive. He rode my *** from the minute he paid till the minute it arrived. Then he cried shaft play (not true at all), and now it's supposedly smoking. Still boosts great, but smoking. IB if he tossed a restrictor on there it wouldn't push past the seal.

At this point IDC. I'll gladly allow him to return it for a full refund. I sold it too cheap anyway and would love to have it back as I'm doing better financially. Even if the seal is bad the thing is still worth what he paid, so if he wants to give up on a badass turbo then I'll have it back and he can't complain about it. I'd have no problem with him buying a turbo elsewhere. He can be someone else's problem because there is absolutely nobody who will satisfy him. Even a brand new GT35R would still have problems according to this guy. Everyone expects brand new for 1/3 price. Used parts are just that; used. I'd think it would be unspoken that you buy at your own risk, but I guess some folks have to be spoon fed. Some people truly are never happy. I could have called this issue with him from a mile away based on his online demeanor.

Sorry about the novel, but since this guy decided to try and drag my rep through the mud I feel like I had to at least explain the situation. Prior to this ------- bullshit; I wasn't ignoring him or refusing to work with him at all. We were PMing pleasantly back and forth and then I see this guy bumping his old thread with the sole intention of ruining my reputation. What a crock. IB that turbo is fine. It boosts great and is pushing a little oil, but I'm sure it can be solved without even taking it apart. If you want perfect then buy new, but then again not even the factory gets a turbo right every time. I'll be glad to have her back if that's what ends up happening. ----, $335 is still worth it even if it does have a bad seal. Unbelievable.
