$1000 won't get you the rods, pistons and the machine work that this thing has on any other motor. Now you can get everything all you "I'm gonna build a D series" people need for $1000.
When you think of rods, pistons, posts, machine work, new oil pump, water pump, t- belt, gaskets, seals, distributor, powdercoated valve cover, bearings, rings, cost of a motor in the first place, blah blah, you just can't do it.
Now you buy this, take it all apart, inspect everything, possibly change the rings, put it all back together, and technically, YOU did build it. You'll find it's alot easier than putting all of this together in the long run.
I can always take it all apart for you, give it to you in pieces, and then you can do it the traditional way. But you still can't get what this has for $1000.

The oil pump is some sort of Nascar pump made for high rpm for long durations. :P

I've been scared of the oil pumps on these things for a while, thats why I went with a little looser bearing clearance on it.
This was used with a t3 48/60 afc, 450's, custom coach, blah blah.
13.84 @10psi (couldn't get homedepot couplers to hold more)
New couplers, untuned on afc at 16.5 psi 235whp/222tq.
