Yes they fit right in. I love DSM's. If you have some questions on your restoration of the 2G lmk. I have a 6 bolt swapped 2G right now that I'm just finishing up a de-tune on lol. I'm actually putting it up for sale pretty quick here. I can at least point you in the right direction as far as forums and searchable information goes. Either way good luck on the Doesn't Stay Moving.

There are plenty of good engine management options available. If you're going to be staying in the sub 400hp range you can do just fine with an S-AFC and a chip. The single most important tool for tuning and maintaining a DSM is a datalogger! Get that before you do ANYTHING! If you're going bigger than a tdo5h turbo and are looking for higher boost levels (25+psi) you can start looking into DSMLINK. DSMLINK is incredible. You still can use your stock ECU, but you can change tons of perameters. Fully built DSM's run AEM EMS of course, but that isn't necassary until you're in a fully built high state of tune. For a 2G I'd say S-AFC and an Eprom chip.
Start out with a 16g of some sort, 510cc-650cc injectors, a 190lph fuel pump and intercooler hard pipes or full fmic. Don't forget a full 3" exhaust. Make sure you have a boost gauge other than the stock one once you start turning up the boost. Check out www.vfaq.com
They have everything you'll need to build a DSM from the ground up and also have Upgrade Path suggestions. RRE has some great tech info on their site too. This is just a TINY bit of info right here, there is a lot involved in retoring/maintaining/upgrading a DSM. I suggest you get reading on VFAQ and register on some DSM forums like DSMTUNERS, DSMTALK, DSMSOURCE, and more. Go to www.pocketlogger.com and buy yourself an OBDII logger. Even before the car is together it'll be incredibly helpful in troubleshooting. Anyway, that's enough for now, but you get the idea.
