jc, why does it have to do this?
My feeling is this.... The reason to retard is to avoid detonation/pre-ignition. The higher the boost level, the more potential there is for detonation, more so than just by RPM level alone. Since you could be at many different RPMs, and still not be boosting to the level needed for retard, then retard by boost level would seem a much better way of doing it, like the BTM type of solution.
For example, if you are running along at 65MPH, at part throttle, you may not be at full boost. But since the SITC is reading RPM, the timing is being retarded when it doesn't need to be. Sure this may not be such a terrible thing, it just seems more correct to retard only when needed. Retard by boost seems like a more accurate way to do it.

here's another idea. this above statemant is like saying that an adjustable fpr is better than having an afc hack b/c it reads vacuum and not rpm. this controller gives full control over your timing curve and i'll guarantee with it tuned right you'll see better gains on the dyno and at the dragstrip.

uberdata owns all of ur statements... ur item isn't needed by most because of this. 90% of the people on this site is using uber or te which retards timing for them..... no need for an apexi sitc... thats why noone wants it.

Re: apexi sitc used(of course)
well, i'm not gonna say it's better than that but i figured there were still forum users using the afc hacks as well. plus, the afc hack only advances timing where leaned out. this can be used to advance timing as well. just think, you can stretch your curve out past where the stock curve flattens and create more torque.
