Default dohc zc on a sohc zc

Ok came across a sohc zc block (free). I have a dohc zc head and intake laying around (free). Can I combine the 2, only one head bolt hole dose no line up can I take this to a machine shop and have them open that one head bolt hole up a bit? Do I just use a dohc zc timing belt? Any thing else I am missing?

I did research just didn’t find exactly what I was looking for.

Found this http://www.d-series.org/forums/showthread.php?t=47496 He is using an a6. What is the sohc zc close to a z6? I don’t know I think I am going to try. I have to use that head, can let it go to waste and trying to find a cheap dohc zc block is hard.

Will a d16a1 fit into a 90 crx? And will the zc head fit on a d16a1? If so I may just make 2 motors. One for something else.

mechanical timing of te block and head are no problem

the head bolt locations are off from the sohc and dohc blocks, that is why we have to buy a special DOHC headgasket for our engines.

It realy is a lot of work to make it work but for what your time and effort is wurth you should just buy the DOHC or build the sohc block
