Default Dyno'd the GSR *Ripper vid added!*

Took my GSR sedan to the dyno yesterday to retune for more boost.

Set up:

Stock B18C1

Prescission SC34 .48/.70
Rev Hard Stg2 log manifold
Rev Hard Stg2 FMIC (24X6X3)
TiAL 38mm Wastegate
TurboXS RFL BOV
DSM 450 bluetops
2.5" downpipe
Stock clutch

Tuned w/ CROME Pro @ 10.5psi made 271whp 192wtq with pretty sexy torque curve.

$20 boost gauge FTL This pull was actually 10.5psi but the gauge barely spiked up to 9.

Not bad for a sub 1,300 dollar build including the dyno tune.

Update: Scroll down for ripper vid.

That must be fun to drive. Put some arp head studs and go for a bit more.

wut?

It's at 10.5lbs . If you're saying 7 because of the boost gauge, it's a $20 POS, reading is way off.

I'm surprised you clutch hold this torque! Mine went out the first time I hit full boost in fourth over 4000rpm...

Now it slips in almost every gear lol

Why the choice of a .48/.70?

Btw, I have the exact same boost gauge and the max I saw is 5psi even with a 7.6psi spring...

Our setup are similar, I have a b18a, sc34 (.60/.63), tial 38mm, same gauge and in a teg

My next plans are to get a GM 3bar MAP and head studs. after that, up the boost to 13ish psi. Looking to hit the 300whp mark.

I thought it was accurate until dyno day. Once I saw what the tuner's computer was reading I realized that this $20 gauge is worthless. A wideband will be taking it's place next week.

As for the raping of the cold motor comments, it's not like I just started it up from sitting. It was 40*F that morning...with the big *** fan blowing on the front end the temp gauge never moved past that point you see. That was the 4th or 5th pull after a 30minute drive to the shop.

Price, my friend...it was dirt cheap.

Before this dyno I was tuned off the 7lb spring. When i boosted it'd read 7psi so I of course thought it was working nicely. Once on the dyno, we found my car was actually seeing 8.5psi due to boost creep...Sell that gauge if you can, they're obviously pieces of ----.
