Default fuel system for high hp focus

Well i decided to forget the stock returnless fuel system and make a return system, the only problem is that i really dont feel like dropping in a fuel cell, so i took the stock fuel tank apart and though of a way to make a return style system utilizing the stock tank,

basically i want to make a plate with a pick-up tube and some sort of strainer filter at the end of it. all the diesel guys have their fuel systems running like this.

but the only thing im not sure of is will i starve the fuel system under heavy throttle or cornering.

this is basically what i want to do.

http://www.atsdiesel.com/ats_new/pdf...203%20v2.1.pdf

so what do you guys this, will it be enough for a 450hp focus.

do what the SRT4 guys do and put a fitting in the gas fill tube and run a return line from the regulator into that.

THAT WOULD WORK WELL, TO AID IN NOT STARVING FOR FUEL UNDER ACCEL YOU CAN GET THAT "PLASTIC FOAM" INSERT FOAM AND FILL YOUR CELL SO THE GAS DOESNT SLOSH AROUND. WHAT KINDA PUMP ARE YOU GOING TO USE?

im going t be using the stock tank with an aeromotive external pump, i dont care about the return line, im more worried aout the pick up, under hard acell with just a drop down tube is their a chance of starving the motor.

could someone with some expiriance please chime in.

not trying to be a dick, but you'd probably get more responses if you posted the info or pics from those links inside the thread instead-- no one wants to have to dig through your links to try and figure out what you want ya know?

450hp? Why not just an in tank pump like the Bosch 044, Denso Superpump, or even a dual Walboro set-up? All of those options will easily flow what your needs are. 450whp isn't that high, seriously. Most guys I know didn't go to an external until they were well over 600whp. Actually, come to think of it, the smallest turbo I've seen guys run an external with is a GT4088 nearly maxed out. All the others were either a 4294r or 4202r. IMHO your plans are overkill for 450whp. Hell, I made over 400whp on a 50 trim t3/t4 with 720cc injectors, meth injection, and a Bosch 044. That was on a 2.0L 4-cylinder and I never saw over 70% IDC or had any starvation issues. When you said high hp I thought you meant something crazy lol. No use buying a $500 fuel pump and all the fixings when you can spend ~$100 and be done. Just my $0.02
