Crazy NYC must do's

Taking a trip up to NYC coming up in Oct. Anyone know of any cool *** nightclubs or ---- to do?

Some people I know went clubbing while in NYC. The first club had a $20 cover, they pass and try another one w/o a cover but they weren't "hawt" enough to get in, they then go back to the other club. Pay the $20 cover charge then find out drinks are $30.

I'm perfectly content living in the mid west.
