Never use a bolt, always use the bitch pin.

Order some Prothane shifter bushings and make sure your bolt fits really snug in the hole or just buy a punch and a hammer so you can use the pin.

funny thing about that is... i have a bolt in my linkage. its tighter than ---- because i used a metric bolt which fit tighter than a course threaded bolt. doesnt have any play at all in the shifter. i could go for some poly bushings though on the shifter. make sure you replace the shifters o rings in the lower portion of the shifter. mine were completely gone. plus it was a bitch getting it back together.

I have the same problem with my linkage, but because the pin is used...

I should try the bolt thing if it fit tight.

check the pivot joint on the tranny side of the linkage jsut past the bitch pin. I put prothane bushings in mine and re-used the bitch pin and my shifter is still sloppy as a cheap -----.

I threw it on the lift and that's where all the play was, only way to fix that is replace the linkage
