What Dustin, no 'ghetto' job?
I sprung for some 89ish Teg linkage. $20 from the yard. Cut and lengthened it.

I used 'all thread' screwed into each side; mounted it, and then threaded it to the right length/position. Took it out, and welded.

dustin when you get the engine installed, just install the shift linkage and see how much needs to be cut off? are you going to trust if someone tells you to cut 3 inchs off?

It wont be to tough if you use the teg shifter assembly.

the teg shifter will work easily and you can rent a welder at HD for a decent rate.
