Default Shipping Freight

I got to ship a transmission from PA to FL. Anybody got any recommendations on shipping cos you use? Also I imagine I gotta strap this thing on a pallet, does FedEx or UPS freight supply pallets and such like can I just bring it to them and they take care of the rest?

fedex wont supply the pallets for you, but if you can stick it in a sturdy box fedex ground will take it

get a quote for a box the size and weight needed through ups, then through ups freight and you'll see the freight class ***** you in the ***. At least it always worked like that for me, fedex would probably be similar.

If I needed to ship something that was heavy as ---- and needed a crate, I always build a small wooden crate to secure the object, then staple cardboard to it and ship it regular UPS. They won't take a wooden pallet regular UPS.

At any rate you don't need a crate for a tranny. Search for posts from Mista Bone, he tells the propper way to ship a tranny somewhere.

Yep, my design but he did it even a little better, yet to have one damaged in shipping.
