clamping the return line ive tried disconnecting the fuel pressure regulator and it picked up alill on the top end . but what exactly would clamping the return line do ? would it ---- anything up ? i was lookin into fmu's cuz i want to be able to tune the a/f ratio since thats important to keep detination from killin the motor . my fuel pres. reg. isint adjustable. its vac. operated so plugin the vac line works ok....... but i am willing to bet that wont provide enough fuel for when i get the turbo set up on there . who all has clamped ther ---- and made it work thanks for the advise .

A FMU works by blocking fuel flow to the return line. So when your building boost, the fmu, closes, allowing pressure to be built up. This in turn raises the flow rating of the injectors. You also are going ot need a inline booster pump to increase the pressure.

finaly i see the light !!!!!!!!! ok so im feeling a hell of alot better becaues rite before i checked back here on this thread i was looking at piggy back controllers and stand alone ecu/pcm's ............ and lets just say id have to win the lotto a few times to set it all up and be a computer tech in the process !

enstead of clamping the return line , cant i just install a valve and then i can adjust how far i want to close off the return line at a time ? i could set it up so there would be a stop on the adjustment lever so i couldint never ever close it all the way (guessing that would be bad) if its a valve rated for high pressure and able to take fuel going through it ........ think it would work ?? any critisizum also wouldint the fuel needs change from off boost to full boost

also inline booster pump ....... any links to any site that sell these

not sure how much fuel i will need at any given rpm or boost range but ive been trying to figuer it all out . also the ------ stock fuel lines are suposedly "tamper proof and not repairable" so ill figuer that one out to . thanks for the info . keep it comin any advise is welcome .
