has anyone used this kit yet? and is there a advantage other than the shift fork to switch trans? like better gearing

 

the biggest advantage in my opinion is being able to use lower mileage swaps.hydros are a lot easier to find these days.

 

are you talking b or d series? either way, better, stronger, shorter geared transmissions. the sohcs are about the same, but there is a MUCH higher availability. think about it, u wanna pick from 88-91 transmissions or 92-00? if you have the money, and want to make power, do it. but you WILL have a harder clutch pedal.

 

Been out like 5 years now it makes clutch pedal feel much harder but it works
