I got a replacment 1998 y8 for my little bros car, and the intake mani that came with it has the egr (exhaust gass recurculation) valve, and the engien was from a manuel. His old engine was an auto and didnt have the egr valve. from what i saw inside intake ports, the egr valve dirtys up the head ports and injectors prety damn bad.

Is there any reason i cant just throw the auto intake mani from his old car on there. it would blcok off the exhaust hole for the egr, but i cant see that hurting anything.

EDIT : The two manifolds wont interchange, because of some vcacume port grove or some ----, but the car didnt have the egr valve to begine with so im just going to block it off...

Heres a better idea, run a z6 intake mani. Y8 makes 3 run lean.

y5 hx manifold did though and look the same

i asked for a Y8 but i didnt check the code on the block.. i better do that in the morning.
