Just curious as to what is "normal" to be paying. Obviosuly location is going to be a big factor, but I'm just wondering what the average HMT'er pays. I'm in the process of buying a house and discovered that my payment with insurance and tax is going to be over $1700/month so after I gained my composure and cleaned my underwear after hearing that I decided to sleep on it and think it over.

im in cali rent is 950 for my duplex. which is lower than most... i dont mind paying it cuz theres not much crime on main streets.

1700 wouldnt be too bad, i have a friend whos 25 and pays 3250 a month for his house (3bd/2bath/2car garage) payment a month in the ghetttttttttOOo.

Well than I envy you. I wish I could do that. My GF's parents own a duplex, but they live in one side and rent the otherside out. Not sure I could live that close to them though. The smoke would kill me.
