search isnt working...

anyone have instructions on how to burn\erase SST 27SF512 with willems burner?

i followed all the instructions, placed the jumpers and dip swich as it shows. it burns the chip like everything is ok but when i place iy in the ecu and put the key on "on" i m getting a solid cel. and when im checking tdc's it shows a solid cel.

ps.
checksum was removed all times.

when i'm trying the same bins on my old at29c256 everything works fine.

please help.

You need to burn 512's at an offset of x8000; the ECU is designed for 256's so it does not switch power and ground on pin 1 to flip between the upper and lower 256 kbits of memory on the chip.

Also don't forget to erase the chip every time you try to reburn, and also erase before you burn to it for the first time.

yup, you should be able to get em working, i've got the same burner and chips for when im done tuning with the ostrich.

chips and burner work great

thanks guys. it worked.

but when im trying to erase them a popup jumps and it says: setting jumper for erase W27EXXX. then i click OK. and the burning bar jumps but after 2 seconds anoter popup jumps thats says: move jumper for erase W27EXXX and setting vvp 12.75v.

It's just a reminder...when you first start off with the burner you should have the jumper that erases the chip removed. When you click "erase" it pops the message to remind you to put the jumper back on, and then remove it again once it's done erasing.

ohh ok. but i dont think its erasing anyway
