Default Clutch problems....any suggestions ?

hi,

When my stock clutch died i replaced it with a Specclutch Stage 3 kit. My car was still stock then, but i wanted a turbo so i already upgraded my clutch. All working great etc etc. but now im driving a turbo, it just slips. I have a european crx, (D16Z5 DOHC engine, with a fidanza flywheel). when i contacted spec, they told me i would need a SH22 clutchkit (del sol kit), with a SH12 prefix kit (zc / integra), so i would have the correct bearing. It all fitted like a dream..no problems.

But as i said, with a turbo it slips at 5psi @ about 5000rpm. Now thats just not normal, that clutch should hold up to 400Nm torque and my car has just 140Nm stock...so @ 5psi..do the math....not that much.

So i adjusted the clutch to pick up earlier, well it still slips. The problem seems to be that the travel of my clutch pedal just isn't enough to make the bearing let loose of the pressure plate and still be able to shift (so the bearing rides all the time), or as i adjust it so it does certainly let loose of the pressure plate so the bearing ...I won't be able to shift....in other words...im pretty screwed.

Does anybody has any experience with this ? Maybe i can enhance the travel of my clutch pedal / clutch arm on the tranny).

Spec says that the kit should work and that they don't know what to do with it........anybody

They are those guys from specclutch.

When i ordered the clutch i contacted spec which clutch would fit my engine since it wasn't mentioned on their site. gave them all the info they needed...they came up with the solution

Im getting pretty fedup with them...they tend to scew up every time (the clutch for my brothers MR2 3Sgte / 5SFE hybrid was also not right...still waiting for a new one to be send....
