Default Can a wastegate be mounted upside down?

Trying to fit a tial 38mm where it doesn't...Is it okay for it to hang upsaide down? Or will this cause nasty fluids to fill up next to the diaphram?

Thanks
Randy

Its fine upside down there shouldn't be any fluids in your manifold just air, if theres fluids, theres somthing wrong somewhere

Correct, its just the good ole hookes law going on there randy. F=-kx where k is the spring constant and x is a distance. As long as there is pressure, the spring will still open as it is supposed to. Only thing to keep in mind is that you dont want your wg lines to close to the manifold or they will melt.

yes and you can not use it upside down because the hydraulic fluid will came out.

It's not always 1500 degrees, what about when you are cranking it and it is flooded?
Was just worried that gas might get down past the valve stem.

But I have already welded it up and it is done

Lol did you just finish a dynamics class or something and want to throw in random hooke's law equation knowledge?
