Saab tapered flange Internal t3 wastegate with flat flange
Anybody ever use a Saab t3 tapered flanged wastegate with a flat flange- either straight up, or machining a flat area from the taper? It looks as though it might be possible since there appears to be a flat area at the top of the flange. But not sure, never having held one. pic below

Is this the ring for a flared 16 ga. pipe- standard issue muffler shop fitting? Or is something that'll work with a flat flange?
I've got a sched. 40 down pipe with a welded flange on the end. It's the top flange in the pic below. It's set up for a flat flanged t3 wastegate and I can get one a tapered one for free that will fit my .63 AR turbine housing.
The wastegate on my .48 AR housing is mercedes-style and too big for the .63. - rob

i think there is a matching Dp flange that goes with that turbo, but seeing as you already have one there u might just have to grind it flat and make something up, its similat to the exhaust bushing but i think its diff, either way its probably gonna have to be something home made that u rig up, just to to an exhaust shop and bring the turbo and dp and see if they have something that will fit.
