3/8 or 1/2 thick flange for turbo manny

for people who made turbo manny'z what did you use a 3/8 or 1/2 thick flange for turbo manny
has anyone heard or had bad experances with a 3/8 thick flanges cause i can get one real cheap/free

either one will work fine, just make sure you clamp it down when you weld it, or bolt it to an old head. free is always good.

I use them both. I have a thick plate drilled for multiple flanges and bolt down every one.
