Default real home made turbo???

Is it possible to fabricate a turbo or something that would work the same as a turbo? I know it sounds crazy but could it be done?

Your talking about making a turbo out of some sheet metal and cast steel? Have you ever seen a turbo? LOL The clearances on a turbo are to tight for a "home made" job...Unless you have $100,000 worth of machining equipment in your living room.

i have reason to beileve that a home made supercharger would be possible.

take a compressor off of a turbo add some pulley to the bich and bolt it to the alternator its got to push some kind of psi...

i know about prochargers

im not talking about a 3k dollar and up procharger.. im talking about a compressor hosing for 50 bucks.. fabbing some kind of maybe 1 inch thick plate for a mouting position.. prolly wont cost u another 50 bucks.. and pulleys and belts for cheap..

i wanst disputing the concept.. its been done. i was just wondering if it could be done for cheap using readilly available parts and not "$100,000 worth of machining equipment in your living room" :sigh:

Although I know it seemed like it, I was kinda making a dig at Procharger and not you Buk.

If regular turbos weren't the greatest things ever, I'd consider spending some time on a homebrew Procharge style system, I'm sure someone, somewhere has done it.
