hey guys. i have been having a very bad problem with my dizzy. my coild keeps blowing up. its like it is shorting out and making the coil over heat and explode or sumthin. i have checked the ohms on plugs, coils, spark plugs, and they are all within specs. umm yah im thinkin it may be sumthing in the harness. but i have gone through 2 coils and caps. what will happen is the top prong on the cap is always broken off when i open up the dizzy. i have changed dizzys as well. i have changed wires. changed plugs. even ecus and still it seems to blow the coils. tell me what u guys think. thx

ps i have a d15b waitin to go in and i am scurrd to put it in and destroy the only obd1 dizzy i have.

 

any smart people on here know what could b wrong with my car.
its a 91 si hatch if that helps any

 

if you are breaking pickups off from inside the distributer, its sounds like the bearing in the dizzy could be bad
