homemade itb tps issue
been working on my buddy fuller's car for a while now, its a 92 eg with a jdm gsr motor on some homemade itb's using cbr959 tb's tuning with uberdata. well we hooked it up exactly like in the hm-itb writeup, but we get a tps code no matter what we do. checked with a multimeter and the voltages are good, tried swapping the map and tps connections to no avail. the sensor seems to be good since its giving good voltages, but the car leans out like hell on the wideband and therefore we are not driving it. what could cause this?
Well if the sensor is set right .5v @ close, and around 4.5v WOT and while going through the range there is no spikes/jumps whatever (meaning the contacts inside the tps are ok at all ranges) You have a wiring problem, I'd check the input right at the ECU to see what its seeing.
yea u know what the throttle moves toward the front of the car, so is that what it is? i just need to swap the two outer wires with each other? if so you guys are the ----, cuz we've been messing with it for like 2 weeks and couldnt find any wiring problems or anything.
