ive been devating on what i am going to do with my head b18b, im building the botom and and i and i wanna build the head. is it even worth it on a non-vtec head. i was gonna run over sized valves, retainers, springs, blah, blah. is it worth it? or should i just stick with it being stock then build a vtec head on the side. m goal is in the 400whp region and somewhere in the 11's at the track.

 

If you are going to be building it up, that means that you are buying new head internals. So you could buy a gutted Vtec head at a considerable discount.

I personally would go with the Vtec head if I was gonna be rebuilding the whole deal.
