Default which turbo

okay i have a 91 accord with a f22b dohc swap and currently have a .42 .48 garrett t3 turbo and right now i am upgrading the internals and putting in lsd. but i am going to upgrade the turbo. i am looking for quatermile times so i want a turbo that spooles fast and gets me boost. i am looking at getting a .60 compressor housing, .63 turbine but i dont know how fast it will spool. i was also looking at a .48 turbine and a .60 compressor but i dont really know which would be better? any opinions would help lots. thanks. i will also be running about 10-12 psi.

Get a T3/T4 57 trim .63 ar.You have a 2.2 there that should spool that pretty quick. For the drag strip you may not really want a super quick spool as it will kill traction.

Yes, the T3/T4 57 trim .63 ar is a super good choice.
The 0.48/0.42 is clearly too small.
While sticking with that excellent 0.63 a/r stage 1 turbine, there is quite a few compressors that would work good on your setup: T04e 54, 57 and 60 as well as T04B V and H trim.

Also, the Borgwarner RHB62 will outflow all these turbos and comes standard with a 360° thrust. This one is a notorious peformer on H22a's so if you manage to get your engine to push over 150 HP without boost, this one is a super good choice for the price. IT's easily able of 400WHP, which is asking a lot for any t04B or t04e.

well, maybe not ALL diesel turbos as most of them have a way too big turbine for most 4 cyl engines but this borg is a very, very nice one. you can spool it OK with 150 HP before boost.
With a super free flowing Hotrex manif, it must be even better!

I have customers who pushed 417 and 421 WHP on MR2 and camry with it.... And my prelude was really screaming at 27 psi using one and after 3 years of intense abuse on it, that bitch did not pickup a single thousand of shaft play.
