Default zc timing

I was looking at original timing map of zc...

Why is the basic timing 21 degrees?

I though it was 15 degrees

Are the maps what i´m looking wrong or should the basic timing be 21 when I flash the the timing mark?

I love it when people are specific so we can help them.

OBD0 or OBD1?

Which map are you looking at?

What the fudge truck is 'Basic Timing'

Just set your "base" timing at the center of the 3 marks on the pulley. Then make any timing changes that you want on your ignition maps. I started with the PM6 maps and had to advance my ignition maps 20% in VAC and 5% in boost to get the car to run right. But then thats my setup and everybodys is different

Base timing for Honduhs is either 16 or 18 degrees, depending. Look at high vacuum, low rpm range to deduce which.

FYI, if you EVER change the base timing ignition cells in your map, make sure that the base ignition timing is set to the same figure with a timing light. Some of the funky big cam'd non-VTECs need ~20 degrees base timing to pull off a credible idle. If you set base timing to 20 degrees, then set things at the distributor to the 16 degree mark on the crank pulley, you are four degrees retarded.
