I just recently got a Willem Dual Power burner and it came with a SST 27SF512 chip. I had multiple problems trying to erase/burn this chip using the Willem 097G software and Projekteg's how-to listed here -> http://uberdata.pgmfi.org/forum/inde...;threadid=2588 <-

After talking to Xenocron it seems my problems were mainly due to the 097G program, which I had chosen to use in following the how-to. For me, the 097ja program worked first try. I just followed the instructions Xenocron offered:

Hook up the parellel cable to the LPT port 1st
Hook up the USB cable for power second
Open the Willem software, 097ja
Make sure it says PCB3 at the top middle
Click HELP-->Test Hardware (should say present)
Set the jumpers like my picture to erase
Put the SST in the ZIF socket correctly
Choose the SST chip in the software
Click the Erase button (should confirm erase with some other windows in the)
Then, load the BIN you want to burn and set the jumpers for burning like my pics
Then click the burn button and done

Just wanted to post this up to say thanks to Xenocron and incase anyone else has a 27sf512 chip giving them fits.
