went and looked at a 17' outboard Tahheti. had no motor or electronics. all steering was in. floor cut out. needs to be sanded and reglassed on the inside of the hull. they want $570.00 thinkin on offering $350.00. prolly spend the winter getin it going. but it'd be fun next summer. ---- if i got it going by xmass, id taker up to lk. goodwin.

 

its the motors that kill your money not the hulls

 

she'll hold a 90hp. from what i've seen, itll run about 3-4 thou, only bout 1 thou to do the various sanding and glassing

 

for 5 grand you could find a nicer boat. i see em out there where i live all the time for like 3500 for clean boats, ---- you could find a jet with a 455 olds for that much. i wouldnt even do it if i were you. just my $.02

 

allready decided not to, cheapest tyme to buy will be in the dead of winter. and i have to many projects anyway.
