Who rides PWC's / jet ski's?
I'm getting ready to buy a new jet ski in a few months and I was just curious if anybody on HMT was into watersports? I've been into watersports since I was a little kid, my parents have always had a boat. My brother and I usually have a jet ski to split between us, but now I'm ready to buy my own.
This is what I'm looking at:
'06 Seadoo RXP
Specs:
215hp 1494cc four stroke Supercharged engine
That's all that matters
To be honest I don't really like Seadoo since I've had problems with them in the past but supposedly this is the meanest baddest jet ski on the water right now, and there are still plenty of modifications you can do. So who else here is into water sports? Post up what you've got.

12 thousand dollar peice of ----. All of the 4 strokes were so shitty. It's fast, but don't buy a bombardier. Everything they make is junk. We had allot of problems with the 4 stroke boats when i worked at the polaris/bombardier dealership. Hell, we always had allot of problems with sea doo's period. The owner and the main mechanic there would never own one. If you want something fast, look for an old polaris 1200 pro or 785 pro. Those boats are ------- bad ***. Especially the 785, that thing was sweet. 140 hp and probably weighs as much as the engine in that big *** sea doo.

I was reading about the honda turbo ones and all of the test that the water sports mags. said that it was a toss up between the honda and the kawi. They said that out of the hole honda was kinda slow, go fig, but the mid to top end was crazy fast. They also said that the honda felt like astreet bike on the water. Super stable and would turn on a dime. The only thing keeping you from doing a wot turn is the fact that you cant hold on, its that stable!! The kawi, was a good overall ski. But I would go with the honda. You know that it will run forever!!!!! And with all the reading Ive done on them, people have nothing but good things to say about them! Just my .02

we had allot fo problems with the ware rings and ---- on the 4 strokes. they were so tight clearance they would go out after riding them for a month or so. and thats probably a 120 part. plus the new pump oil and ---- you have to buy. The new sea doo's are more junky than the old ones. The only reason the owner sold them is because when people wanted to buy a PWC they just automaticly identifed with the brand name Sea Doo. I havent had any experience with yamaha's, kaw's or hondas. But i cant see them being any worse than see doo.

If you can, definitley get an older two stroke. They'll stomp a 4 stroke anyday. All the new PWCs load in extra ---- that weighs them down.
I do give the new Seadoo's one thing though: the closed loop cooling system. WTF didn't they think of that earlier. No more crusty engine.
